Laten we beginnen met geweldig nieuws: onze eigen kantine is een feit en de tweede seizoenshelft draait! Dit weekend is de eerste volledige speelronde in de Geusselt, kom langs voor een drankje en gezelligheid. Laten we deze positieve flow vasthouden met jullie hulp.
Opvolging Bestuur: Noodkreet voor Kimbria!
Dan een serieuzer bericht. Het hele bestuur treedt na dit seizoen af. Tim, Ewoud en Stef stoppen onherroepelijk op 30 juni, met of zonder opvolgers. Alleen Hugo wil doorgaan als bestuurslid basketbalzaken, onder de juiste voorwaarden. Niemand heeft nog concreet ‘ja’ gezegd en juni nadert snel. Organisatorisch en financieel staat onze basis ijzersterk, met voor het eerst een eigen kantine. Het zou enorm jammer zijn dit succes nu te verliezen door gebrek aan opvolging, want zonder nieuw bestuur stopt de club volledig.

Scheidsrechterstaken en Sancties: Jouw verantwoordelijkheid
De eerste helft van het seizoen heeft de scheidsrechterscommissie (Mike en Tim) heel veel tijd gestoken om te zorgen dat alle wedstrijden doorgang konden vinden. Tegelijkertijd is het niet altijd goed gegaan. Via deze nieuwsbrief willen we nog een keer de spelregels én de consequenties toelichten en aangeven dat de verantwoordelijkheid voor het hebben van scheidsrechters niet bij de commissie ligt, maar bij elk individu. Dit betekent ook dat deadlines vanaf nu gerespecteerd worden en dat de desbetreffende sanctie onherroepelijk zal worden doorgevoerd!
Regels voor Scheidsrechters
- Wees uiterlijk 15 minuten voor de wedstrijd aanwezig met fluitje en scheidsrechters shirt (of neutraal grijs shirt). Te laat komen is niet acceptabel, zorg dat iedereen kan spelen.
- Kan je niet fluiten? Regel zelf vervanging en meld dit uiterlijk 3 dagen van tevoren aan voorzitter@kimbria.nl én mikesmits86@live.nl.
Sancties bij overtreding
Niet komen opdagen zonder afmelding of geen vervanging:
- 1e keer: officiële waarschuwing.
- 2e keer: 2 wedstrijden schorsing (niet spelen).
- 3e keer: royement uit de club.
Voor trainers en ouders
Trainers: deel het schema en herinner spelers wekelijks aan hun taken.
Ouders: bespreek het belang met je kind, scheidsrechters zijn cruciaal voor wedstrijden.
Bij echte problemen denken we graag mee, maar wees zelf de eerste verantwoordelijke. Laten we sportief doorgaan!
Onze eigen kantine: een reusachtige stap!
Zoals eerder gezegd, dit weekend is onze eigen kantine open voor koffie, een pilsje, sportdrank, chips of tosti! De rest van het seizoen gaan we kijken hoe dit verloopt en maken dan de balans op. Speciale dank aan Angela, Niels en Jorge voor hun inzet de afgelopen weken om dit mogelijk te maken. Daarnaast willen we ook graag Roderick Ramaekers en Danny Deng bedanken voor hun bijdrage in de vorm van koffie en meubilair!

Dear Kimbrianen,
Let’s start with great news: our own canteen is now a reality and the second half of the season is underway! This weekend features the first full round of games at De Geusselt, come by for a drink and some socializing. Let’s keep this positive momentum going with your help.
Board Succession: Urgent call for Kimbria!
Now for a more serious message. The entire board will step down after this season. Tim, Ewoud, and Stef will irrevocably resign on June 30, with or without successors. Only Hugo wishes to continue as board member for basketball affairs, under the right conditions. No one has committed concretely yet, and June is approaching fast. Organizationally and financially, our foundation is rock-solid, with our own canteen for the first time. It would be a tremendous shame to lose this success due to lack of succession, without a new board, the club will cease to exist entirely. Are you interested, having questions, or want to learn more? Referee duties and sanctions: your responsibility
The referee committee (Mike and Tim) invested a huge amount of time in the first half of the season to ensure all games could proceed. However, not everything went smoothly. This newsletter clarifies the rules and consequences once more: responsibility for referees lies with each individual, not the committee. From now on, deadlines will be strictly enforced, and the relevant sanctions will be irrevocably applied!
Rules for referees
- Be present at least 15 minutes before the game with a whistle and referee shirt (or neutral gray shirt). Arriving late is not acceptable, ensure everyone can play.
- Unable to referee? Arrange a replacement yourself and notify voorzitter@kimbria.nl and mikesmits86@live.nl at least 3 days in advance.
Sanctions for violations
Failure to show up without notice or replacement:
- 1st time: official warning.
- 2nd time: 2-match suspension (no playing).
- 3rd time: expulsion from the club.
For coaches and parents
Coaches: share the schedule and remind players of their duties weekly.
Parents: discuss the importance with your child, referees are crucial for games.
We’re happy to help with genuine issues, but you are the primary responsible party. Let’s keep it sportsmanlike!
Our own canteen: a giant leap forward!
As mentioned, our canteen opens this weekend for coffee, a beer, sports drink, chips, or a toasted sandwich! We’ll evaluate how it goes through the rest of the season. Special thanks to Angela, Niels, and Jorge for their efforts in making this possible. We’d also like to thank Roderick Ramaekers and Danny Deng for their contributions with coffee and furniture!
